Love this album at the moment

Not sure how many of you are into post-punk, but this album is really getting played a lot on my iPod at the moment.

The Island Records Post Punk Box-Set - "Out Come The Freaks" is an extremely well put together album of those post-punk sounds some of us have come to love.

This collection spans the gammut from the more rock side of post-punk to the more disco and electronic songs, together with some downright pop moments. With many of the usual suspects popping up - Pete Shelley, The Slits, Nico, Roxy Music etc, there are also some slightly more unusual contributors, including an early U2. Bet you can't remember the time they were thought of as cutting edge, can you?!?

For post-punk enthusiasts it may be a bit lightweight, but for those still to discover the genre, or those like me who just like having their favourites collected on one album, this is a cracking compilation.
